Femi Oboro is enrolled as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1990, and a solicitor of the Supreme Court for England and Wales in 2006. He is currently engaged in law practice across jurisdictions with the LDS Legal in Nigeria and with the firm of Gromyko Amedu Solicitors in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Femi Oboro\u2019s practice areas across jurisdictions (Nigeria\/UK) includes international commercial law\/contract disputes, public\/administrative law, litigation\/dispute resolution and enforcement of foreign judgment in the United Kingdom\/Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Our Femi Oboro has been involved in a number of cases of general importance in the United Kingdom and in Nigeria, and has as matter of interest the protection of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which underscores his works and advice to the Federal Government of Nigeria in the establishment of a mechanism for the protection of the Federal Government of Nigeria and its key agencies, such as the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sovereign Wealth Authority and Nigerian National Petroleum Company and their assets; from being treated at arm\u2019s length in respect of enforcement of arbitral awards in foreign jurisdictions under the New York Convention, which resulted in the Federal Policy No. dated 14th<\/span> August 2014 which is in force as an executive order\/policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria. <\/p>\n

Our Femi Oboro was on the team of a consortium of Nigerian legal firms (as lead solicitor \u2013 RGB Grant Goldie & Co<\/span><\/u>.) retained by the Federal Government of Nigeria to advise on the P&ID v Nigeria<\/u><\/span> proceedings in opposition to the award of the sum of $9.6billion as judgement debt made against the Federal Republic of Nigeria.<\/p>\n
